DUCKBUILDERS
DUCKBUILDERS
Created for https://itch.io/jam/the-indie-den-game-jam with the theme "Duck Duck Goose."
Build your deck! And your Ducks!
Tutorial
This is a demo fight for DUCKBUILDERS, where your ducks have to face the rat king! Since this is an unfinished demo, there is no in-game tutorial and some things may not be clear. So, you can find some useful tips below.
Mana
Each turn, you generate mana that you can use to play the cards you draw.

(Colored Mana)
(Neutral Mana)Colored mana can only be used to play cards of that color, while neutral mana can be used to play any card.
Cards

The top of the card tells you the card's color, cost, and name. The bottom of the card tells you its effect. To play a card, drag it to the center of the screen. If a card has a target (Magic Missile targets an enemy), you'll then have to click your target. If the game seems to get stuck, it might be waiting for you to pick a target.
Attacking, Defending, and Effects
(Attack)
When it's your turn, you can click on this symbol to initiate an attack with one of your (untapped) ducks. The number attached to this symbol indicates the amount of damage the attack will do to the enemy you target. Ducks that attack are tapped until your next turn.
(Defend)
When one of your ducks is targeted with an attack or damaging effect, you can click this symbol to have one of your other (untapped) ducks become the target of that damage instead. Ducks that defend are tapped until your next turn.
(Shield)
Some cards grant an effect called Shield. If one of your ducks has Shield, they are protected from the next instance of damage they may take. One duck can have up to 4 Shield at a time.
