Autumn is beautiful in your village—and it seems that this is the last one you will ever see.

You have been selected as this year’s harvest maiden: a symbol of respect for the land, set to be sacrificed to the woods bordering the village to ensure your people are fed well into the wintertime. You are resigned to your fate, beholden to the village and the endless gratitude they have shown you, until your best friend begs you to reconsider. Can you give this mantle up? Is it worth breaking from an age-old tradition to save yourself? And will running from your fate doom everyone you love? Explore the village, speak with the townsfolk, and deliberate on your situation before it’s too late and the darkness of the woods envelopes you one last time.
